The food is good and the music is entertaining, however they have the audacity to charge an arm and leg for sides to go with your entre. Ridiculous...hey owner re-evaluate your business plan if you do not want to go bankrupt.
Well I wen to Babalu on a Thursday and I was very impressed. I made plans to head back on Saturday with friends for dinner...BIG mistake. Service was horrible...we wanted an hour (we had reservation) to be seated. Then the staff was so overwhelmed by the amount of people...I mean the place was packed! too packed to enjoy a good dinner. Food was good...but i think management need to decide if they want to promote a club or a resturant on Saturday...u really can't have both. I will never go back on a Saturday for dinner....maybe Monday thru Thursday....
This place is awesome, food is great and the service is good. I was even surprise to famous actors and freestyle singers. It's like you never know who might show up. Good vibes and Great Ambiance. Thumbs up.

Well, Havanna has competition in terms of the food and ambiance presented by Babalu. I love the Ricky & Lucy theme and its about time the Bronx has a classy restaurant that offers great service and delicious food. I highly recommend you try this dining experience you won't regret it. I will definitely return.Sign pleasantly surprised

Went to Babalu a few times and every experience was better than the previous one. The food is exquisite, the service impeccable and the ambience original, classy, and ecclectic.

Saturday night at Babalu and the place was jumping. The ambiance was good the crowd mature. I will be fair and say I went for a dessert and a drink at the bar. My impression was that the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and the wait for our dessert was about 40 mins. The attendants at the bar were friendly and attentive. I tried the flan and while it was fine it doesnt hold a candle to the flan at Havana Cafe. I will be there for dinner Sunday and will review the food. As for the customer angry that they asked her husband to remove his hat I say that it's about time restaurants enforce a dress code. If you want to keep your hat on there's a McDonald's up a few blocks.

I was there on opening night, the begining is always fough, the place and food is really great. I believe that we need to support Babalu, give them the support to grow so that we can enjoy what life is given us in our community
My husband and I went on grand opening day and we were very pleased with the ambiance. The service and food were fantastic. Love that its centrally located and in the Bronx. I also love that the meal choices are different from the restaurants around. Love the place and thanks for bringing class to the Bronx. From Jen & Jim
