South Junior High School, built in 1956, is a high school in Brockton, Mass. It offers academics, fine arts, extra-curricular activities and athletics for the all-round development of students. South educates more than 700 students in seven through eighth grades. The school offers a range of courses for students with interest in college preparatory work or vocation education at Brockton High School, Southeastern Regional Vocational-Technical High School and some other high schools. The school has a parents advisory council, which is open to all and meets regularly with the Principal. The school s faculty and staff include more than 50 classroom teachers, counselors and administrators, instructional resource specialists, school adjustment counselors, art, music, health and physical education specialists, librarian and nurse.
