Maltby Middle School is an educational institution that offers a range of academic and recreational programs for students in grades six through eight. The school is accredited by the North Central Association. Maltby Middle School offers sports opportunities, such as basketball, volleyball, wrestling, cross-country, swimming, and track and field. The school maintains a work force of more than 70 employees. Maltby Middle School maintains a parent-teacher organization that encourages the involvement of parents in several school activities. The school has a media center that stocks magazines and reference, fiction and nonfiction books. Maltby Middle School organizes book fairs, as well as participates in the accelerated reader program. The school provides instruction in math, science, social studies and language arts. Maltby Middle School offers membership opportunities for the National Junior Honor Society. The school has a cafeteria and is a part of Brighton Area Schools, which governs various elementary, middle and high schools.
