Dr. Schiebert is an internationally and nationally trained practitioner of osteopathic medicine (DO), with 25 years of general surgical expertise and 10 years of supplementary training in orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Schiebert earned his board certification in General Surgery from Tashkent State Medical Institute in the USSR, before relocating to the United States, where he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYIT) in 2007.Upon graduating in 2007, Dr. Schiebert completed four years of residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at North ShoreLIJ/Plainview Hospital, before performing an additional year of fellowship at Brown Warren Alpert Medical School in order to receive specialty training in spine surgery.With licensures to practice medicine in both New Jersey and New York, Dr. Schiebert specializes in both minimally invasive surgical techniques (e.g. transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF), percutaneous discectomies, fusion surgeries, etc.) as well as sophisticated surgical procedures (e.g. discectomies, laminectomies, decompression surgery, etc.) to provide relief for more advanced spinal conditions.As a practitioner of osteopathic medicine, Dr. Schiebert believes in delivering outstanding preventative care, providing his patients with conservative treatment alternatives, and employing evidence-based pain management techniques to eliminate your pain. Everything is great so far.
After a bad car accident I was suffering from terrible back pain which was a constant 8 out of 10 on the pain scale. I was lucky to sleep 3 hours a day and no doctors were doing anything more then giving me injections claiming i only had a bulging disc even when i would ask for more tests to be done. This went on for over 18 months. Then i was able to get my insurance to cover a visit with Dr. Schiebert and ever since the first appointment i have started getting my life back.My pain is a 0 now
so far visiting Dr Schiebert has been one of the best decisions i have ever made after the procedure my pain improved at least 90%

I highly, highly recommend Dr. Schiebert should you ever need an orthopedic surgeon. His listening skills are above par, his explanation of the surgery and all of your questions are thoroughly explained and my surgery was completed with accurate precision. My healing time was also about half of what I was told to expect and I totally associate this with Dr. Schiebert's talent.
