Female groomer, who said she has been grooming for 40+ yrs. She must have been in a hurry. Informed her at drop off that I had never been to a groomer before, That my female dog may have have some tics as she was a field dog (tic medicine was due to be applied but wanted to wait until after grooming). Asked for small reduction in cost as did not want nails trimmed and rear end glands did not need expressed, she refused and did nails and rear end glands anyways. Upon pick up, asked if any tics were found, she replied no but when I got home home, I found 3 tics (the dog had white pigment too! she should have seen them) Worst of all, found several, 5-6 areas, where the skin was nicked and had scabs from bleeding; 2 of the nipples were almost cut off. I'm no expert but, I would think an experienced groomer should have found tics and certainly should not have cut or nicked the dog.
