St. Louis Community College, founded in 1962, offers certificate programs and associate degrees in arts and science to more than 30.000 students. It offers programs in English, foreign languages, history, mass communication and journalism, accountancy, economics, finance and international business, and hotel management and marketing. The college also provides additional programs, such as applied engineering, computer information systems, culinary arts, nursing, early childhood education, entrepreneurial studies and physical fitness. It provides various amenities and services to students, including financial assistance, career planning, campus placements and residential, dining and recreational facilities. The college provides various sports activities, including baseball, volleyball and hockey and a variety of club activities, such as cyber crime, photography, theater arts and chess clubs.
