We've eaten at Viale's over a dozen times (so we must like it). The food and service are consistently superior. Specials are great fun. And those desserts ... For what you get, prices are OK.

July 2010 - I had dinner at Viale and was very happy with the food. Excellent portobello mushrooms over a bed of mesclun greens with balsamic viniagrette and spectacular chicken marsala. Our waitress Liz was very attentive. Viale is in a busy section of Black Rock, and worth a trip. I really enjoyed dinner.

Food taste like pasta from pizza hut. The service was terrible I was only seen by my waiter once and that was to drop off bread. The rest of the time she would chat away by the bar with i believe is one of the owners. So i guess this is allowed. The food tasted like fast food and overpriced wine. Do not accept the first bottle uncorked.
