If you are looking for unfriendly service and overpriced obsolete equipment, then this is the place for you. The man in charge there seemed upset that we wanted to rent for the season. At one point he threw a boot in the corner. I have three kids and was ready (and did) leave a considerable amount of money there. He defiantly does not seem to like kids, and kept telling them not to move when he walked by. I wanted to rent a pair of boots for the season and I was offered a 20 year old pair for $55. They would probably not sell for $20 on craigslist. You are better buying or renting somewhere else. I regret going there, and I do not look forward to going back to return the equipment.

Wow, rude rude rude. Why is he in the business if he hates kids?? Smell of booze on his breath is why. Mean to his employee too who was really nice. Take your biz elsewhere. Very mean/rude man.

Ive mostly been using Kips for season rentals for my daughter. Over many years the pricing and service Ive gotten has always been great. Occasionally, Ive had my own skis tuned-up and repaired. New ski gear stock is limited mostly due to smallish size of store. If you want a choice of 15 brands/styles or a racer/highend skier who looks for the latest top end stuff, dont go here. As a skier, I can only say he does carry snowboards and equipment. Good selection of helmets, gloves, clothing etc..again given the floor space issue. Hours are good during ski season and up to date, daily ski reports are posted.

Although Kip's "personality" might be lacking he more than makes up for it with his wide spectrum of ski/snowboard equipment & gear as well as convenience. A great local place to rent for the season ~ I highly recommend it. With a 10 yr old son, renting makes perfect sense for us & Kip makes sure we get everything we need for the season.
