Advocat Inc., a publicly traded company, provides a broad range of long-term care services to the elderly, including skilled nursing, ancillary health care services and assisted living. In addition, the company offers a variety of rehabilitative, nutritional, respiratory and other specialized ancillary services. It operates more than 50 nursing centers containing about 5,500 licensed nursing beds and 14 assisted living units.
