Aaron Avni, MD completed his medical training at the University Of South Florida College Of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. He performed and completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at the S.U.N.Y. Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida. Dr. Avni is a Board-Certified comprehensive ophthalmologist, specializing in cataract/implant surgery, refractive surgery (including LASIK) and glaucoma management. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Avni sees patients in the Port Jefferson Station and Brentwood offices.

My experience with Dr. Avni has always been a good experience he’s always been up front with me the good & bad.
Dr. Avni takes the time to answer all questions in a clear and objective manner, and is able to provide detailed explanations while still honoring one’s concerns. I was confident that I was in the hands of a very competent professional which was very reassuring. I highly recommend Dr. Avni for his approach and his expertise.
Unhappy with receptionist and billing. Charged a $45 copay when I have free annual eye exam, bc they coded as a medical visit, when that's not what I asked for at the initial appt making. Very unhappy about this. I am on fixed income, with tight budget and was not expecting this expense.

Great as usual, I had laser surgery, Did One eye at a time two weeks apart, Painless no problems, I would recommend this to anyone that needs this procedure, the doctors are excellent
