General Info
Since its beginning, Brookeside Sod has followed state university guidelines to a comprehensive step by step preparation process that gives customers the strongest foundation for a successful Florida lawn using the highest quality, treated sod available. Richard Russello established Brookeside Sod in the spring of 2003. Prior to that time Mr. Russello worked in the sod business honing his skills and knowledge of the sod industry. Having a background in sales and dealing with people he knew the importance of customer satisfaction. He added improvements in the soil preparation process and changes in sod suppliers to have the highest quality sod available to Brookeside Sod at time of installation. We believe the sod installation is of primary importance. Each sod piece is tightly fitted to ensure no spaces exist between the sod that allows weeds to take hold thereby damaging your new lawn. All cemented driveways and walkways are cut in so the sod will evenly meet the cemented areas to allow for best moisture retention. The temperature of cement during warm months reaches a high degree and will cause sod to die. All installations are supervised by the job boss. At Brookeside Sod, we pride ourselves on the fact that we take no short cuts which ensures a successfully installed lawn every time for total customers satisfaction. Popular sod choices are St. Augustine - Sun or Shade varieties, treated Floratam, Seville, Saphire, Palmetto, or Bitterblue, treated Zoysia (Empire) and treated Bermuda.
