American Bancorporation of Minnesota is the bank holding company for American National Bank of Minnesota. The bank was founded in 1983 and became state chartered the following year. It went on to open nine additional offices over the years in Baxter, St. Cloud, Fergus Falls, Alexandria, Pequot Lakes, Detroit Lakes, Walker, Elk River and Brainerd, Minn. Through its banking subsidiary, American Bancorporation offers a variety of personal and business banking solutions, such as checking and savings accounts, money market accounts, certificates of deposit and online banking, as well as lending services, including home mortgages and consumer loans. The holding company s main office is in Brainerd.
