In operation since 1980, TideWell Hospice & Palliative Care is an independent and nonprofit organization that provides end-of-life services to more than 6,000 patients and families. It serves Charlotte, DeSoto, Sarasota and Manatee counties in Florida. The organization operates various hospice houses in Englewood, Venice, Arcadia and Ellenton, Fla. TideWell Hospice & Palliative Care offers treatment solutions for congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary and Alzheimer's disease. It is a home-based program that offers medical, nursing, psychological and spiritual support services to patients and families with various illnesses. TideWell Hospice & Palliative Care maintains one of its locations in Bradenton, Fla.
