October 31, 2012: Doctor sent me to Manatee Surgical Center for my decennial colonoscopy. From the time I entered the facility until the time I left, They treated me with courtesy, cheerfulness, and professionalism. From the clerical staff to the nurses, to the anesthesiologists and doctor, They asked my name, date of birth, name of doctor, and the procedure being performed. I found this reassuring, because these steps prevent the "wrong" procedure being done. At each and every station, the staff used hand sanitizer before doing anything. The I.V. insertion - efficient with a minimum of pain. Being Halloween, many of the staff were in costume. I found the atmosphere amusing and relaxing. All went well. They even gave my driver, my wife, a flower. Manatee Surgical Center gets high marks from me.
