Reviews
Writing a review is not something that I have ever done, nor do I hope that I have to write another review in the future under these circumstances. I believe that my husband and I have given Dinettes Unlimited every opportunity to do the right thing as a business and we continue to be utterly disappointed. I hope that after I write this review that other people in our community can understand what it would be like to do business with Dinettes Unlimited and understand what an overwhelmingly unpleasant experience it has been. I believe that any business should direct a significant amount of their efforts and resources towards training their employees on how to enhance their customer experience and unfortunately I do not believe that this is a high priority for this business. I believe that as a business you should represent products that you stand behind as far as quality and if for any reason those products have any type of issue whatsoever, the business should then come in to figure out a solution in order to satisfy the customer within reason. I do believe that all businesses should have policies and procedures - I am a huge proponent of this - however when you are told that our families situation that has happened now 3 times on 3 different pieces of furniture has supposedly never happened and they continue to show ZERO empathy towards the fact that our 35 pound 3 year old child has fallen out of the chair every time the leg on the chair breaks, I as a parent become extremely concerned for my families safety as would any parent. I have been told repeatedly that this is an 'isolated' situation and that they have never seen this happen before, but yet it continues to happen when my 35 pound daughter is sitting in a chair and I push her in to eat her food and the front leg of the chair breaks and she falls forward and comes within inches from hitting her head on the base of the table. I have been accused that "my husband and I don't know what is going on in our home" and that I am "over reacting and being unreasonable." I am absolutely appalled that a Vice President of a business would accuse a customer of fabricating the truth and the fact that I would have to even defend myself when in fact I was the one who personally pushed my daughter's chair in 2 of the 3 times and my mother was the other person while I was standing 2 feet away from the incident. It is not within their culture to serve the customer with the utmost respect and ensure that they have an excellent customer experience. As a family owned and operated business since 1976, one would think that they have learned this simple fact over the years, but clearly that is a very low priority from top down. I have experienced this poor treatment from upper management within their organization. Please understand that my family is not safe in the chairs that Dinettes Unlimited is selling and they do not have any empathy or compassion for the fact that my daughter has not only fallen out of the chair 1 time, but 3 times on 3 separate occasions due to poor quality furniture. We have ordered not one, but two different sets and the issue continues. I was told by a manager/family member of the business that after the first time that this happened that it will never happen again once we reselect a new set from a different manufacturer, so we abided by their policy and reselected. Well, sadly it did 4 months after we purchased the new set and here I am...writing a review for the first time in my 34 years of living about a business who I have been continually disrespected by and been accused of lying. This has been insulting and overwhelmingly horrific with absolutely zero professionalism throughout this entire mess of a situation. Unfortunately, this is not the case and I continue to be ridiculed and spoken to as if I am a liar. I would think that attacking a customers character would be at the top of the list for 'things never to do to a customer or a human being.
