Services / Products
We are a full service optometric practice. A full visual examination takes approximately one hour and 15 minutes. In addition to determining a patient's spectacle or contact lens prescription, we also evaluate the health of the eye. We generally dilate the eyes of patients we see for the first time and every two years thereafter, if the eyes are healthy. This is the current standard of care. We do not dilate the eyes of patients who are pregnant or nursing. If you are uncomfortable driving after this procedure, please bring someone to drive you. Most individuals can drive themselves after such an examination. We fit most types of contact lenses. These include regular soft contact lenses and those for astigmatism and bifocal needs. Gas permeable or "semi-soft" lenses are still an excellent option for some patients. More information on contact lenses is available elsewhere on this web site. Our clinic has a stock of thousands of contact lenses and the solutions necessary for their care.
