General Info
Because of strictly financial concerns, large music publishing houses tend to sacrifice quality in accepting music that they can sell. If a submission doesn't sell within a first printing, it is often placed in the permanently out of print file. Picardie Court Publications afford choral directors and singers music that is original, not music that is done over-and-over by a host of choirs. Our music is beautifully engraved and written by a former singer and pianist, so a choral director doesn't have to be concerned with technical matter. Wallace De Pue also consults with those who perform his music. He is available for advice on any musical matter. His Picardie Court Publications was begun in 1968. Dr. De Pue's experiences include singing, choral directing, being a concert pianist, teaching music composition, composing and arranging music. In 2007, Dr. De Pue was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in music. In 2010, one of his former students, Jennifer Higdon, won the award.
