This hotel was pretty good, here's my review:The good: rooms were huge, bed was comfortable, the comforter and pillows felt so clean and cozy. The breakfast was very good, especially for a small town. It had cereals, milk, juices, bacon, eggs, sausage and sausage gravy, Danishes, bagels and waffles. They also had pre-packed fruit cups, eggs, and assorted fruit yogurts. The lady that booked my room over the phone (I believe her name was Amanda) was VERY welcoming. She had a very southern motherly tone to her voice that made me feel like she was happy to help. She even price matched my room on a better price found elsewhere! All of this said, I would recommend this hotel and intend to stay here if needed in the future. The bad: the faucet to the shower was coming off the wall in our room. Very scary because I thought it would break any moment and we get charged for damages. The lady that actually checked us in didn't seem too concerned when I asked for additional pillows and towels, as I needed 1 extra pillow for my daughter and our room had only 2 towels. I even had to go back up to the desk for these things after her shift was over to get them. The hot tub by the pool was ICE cold and dirty, like it had been left untouched for a very long time and there were no towels in the pool room. When going back up to the desk a second time, the man there argued with me saying there were some there when that in fact was not the case. When he got tired of arguing with me, he pointed to a nearby cleaning lady and made her get is some. Also, beware of getting in the hot tub because the support rail that is supposed to be bolted to the ground is no, and looks like it will break completely any minute. This hotel also boasts it has a 24 hour fitness room, but I was ne'er offered to visit it and it is not posted where to find it. Upon checkout, we borrowed one of the trolley carts to get our things loaded outside, and had a few small bags hanging on the top bar when suddenly it broke, the metal bar holding our things fell on my daughter and our bags went everywhere. When my husband picked the bar up to investigate why it broke, we noticed that it had been welded many, MANY times so we think we weren't the first people this has happened to. So this hotel has a few minor things to fix and it would be a great place. If you don't care about swimming, or don't have a lot of things to bring in or out, it's perfect.
