Established in 1977, Xenia Rural Water District provides water supply to rural communities in central Iowa. It provides services in Adair, Boone, Dallas, Greene, Guthrie, Hamilton, Madison, Polk, Story and Webster counties in Iowa. It a serves more than 8,000 individuals and is governed by a board of directors. Xenia Rural Water District provides services for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Xenia Rural Water District s has water treatment plant and a laboratory that provides water testing and microbiology services. The laboratory is certified by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. Additionally, it offers repair and maintenance of underground facilities and provides short-side and long-side pipe installation services. Xenia Rural Water Distrct has environmental excellence award by the Iowa Rural Water Association and is located in Little River, S.C.
