- Dental SealantsA sealant is a plastic material (resin) applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth. The resin flows into the pits and fissures in the teeth, covering them fully so food and plaque cannot get in. This way, the dental sealant forms a strong barrier against acid and plaque attacks.
- Resin CompositePorcelain veneers are a great option for people that don’t necessarily need crowns, but still want a whiter, straighter smile. Best of all, the choice of porcelain veneers over composite resin veneers guarantees superior resistance to stains over time, and will mimic the look and feel of natural teeth. Once placed, porcelain veneers act the same as natural teeth, so you’ll brush and floss the same as you always have.
- VeneersPorcelain veneers are a great option for people with cracked, chipped, or stained teeth. They are a very thin layer of porcelain, custom made and shaped to cover the front of your teeth. Each one is designed individually to help enhance your smile, and can be created to improve the color, or even the size and shape of each tooth.
- CrownsThere are different materials that can be used to make a crown, like metals, ceramic, and porcelain. Here at North Boulder Dental Group, we specialize in placement of porcelain crowns. Porcelain crowns help the tooth blend in better with your existing teeth and are a great option for people with metal allergies. Porcelain crowns wear the same as natural teeth and feel natural in your mouth.

- OrthodonticsGoing to your dentist can be a pain for both your mouth and your wallet. If you or your child need orthodontic treatment it can be even worse, with numerous follow-up visits required. One newer option is at-home orthodontics, where you order aligners that are delivered in the mail and you can put them on yourself. This is often a cheaper method, but there are things you should think about first...
- BracesClear aligners are often better than traditional fixed braces, especially for kids who may be teased about their braces. However, they can only treat relatively simple problems. If you have a severe underbite, overbite or crossbite, for example, you may absolutely need fixed braces. Also, clear aligners can be more of a pain for some people. You have to remove them to eat, and then brush your teeth after every meal (think about this: What if you travel and can’t do that?). Aligners are also less precise. As aligners are the only thing you can mail order, you need to know for sure that they are the best course of treatment before you start.
