It provides research, development and manufacturing assistance in an effort to bring pharmaceutical products to world markets. The company also houses the Boulder Technology Center. The tech center serves as a research center for the development of new production processes, which provide process and product improvements in areas, including cost, safety, environmental impact and product quality. The tech center includes a pilot scale production plant where products are produced in quantities necessary for the approval of new pharmaceutical processes. The company is a subsidiary of Roche of Basel, Switzerland. Roche Colorado, located in Boulder, Colo., is one of four Roche pharmaceutical research and production facilities in the United States.
