  For fourteen years, before founding BHPK, Larry served as an Assistant District Attorney and senior prosecutor in the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office. He prosecuted major felony and homicide cases for over ten years before founding and directing the District Attorney’s Child Abuse Prosecution Unit. Larry considers the establishment of this unit to be the most meaningful contribution of his professional career to the legal and victim advocacy fields. His work was later recognized as a national model for implementing and introducing a new set of protocols to protect children in child abuse prosecutions. These are now considered gold standard practices nationwide.

  Jocelyn’s practice also focuses on advising and counseling insurers, individuals, and corporations on risk management, conflicts of interest, insurance policy interpretation, claims handling, and best practices. Jocelyn has acted as outside corporate litigation counsel in a variety of contexts, including wrongful death litigation, breach of contract claims, alleged asbestos exposure, general tort litigation, product liability, and mass tort litigation. She regularly appears before trial and appellate courts in Massachusetts as well as in the First Circuit Court of Appeals.

  The attorneys at BHPK have recovered millions of dollars for survivors of sexual violence and sexual abuse, and have handled many precedent-setting cases in Massachusetts. Notably, founding partner Laurence E. Hardoon has been nationally recognized for his pioneering work in the field of child sexual abuse litigation. Over the past forty years, Larry has represented hundreds of survivors of the clergy sex scandal and also helped to establish the first ever Children’s Advocacy Center in Middlesex County. In addition, our team is uniquely qualified to understand the many sensitive issues that arise in demanding accountability and justice when a person has been physically violated -- issues that few law firms are qualified to handle. Combined, they have represented hundreds of survivors who have been sexually abused, and have brought claims against the Archdiocese, child care centers, hospitals, day care centers, private schools, teachers, doctors, foster parents, and therapists. Many members of our team are uniquely qualified to handle sexual abuse claims as former sex crimes prosecutors in both Suffolk and Middlesex Counties.

  BHPK attorneys are highly experienced in handling whistleblower cases. Our attorneys are available to help clients who know about fraud by government contractors to blow the whistle and to recover a reward of up to 30% of the amount of the fraud. We can also assist clients who know about federal tax fraud of over $2 million, as well as employees of publicly-traded companies who discover fraud at their companies.   As an Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County, Andrew prosecuted white collar criminal cases, including credit card fraud, insurance fraud, forgery, embezzlement, and perjury. Andrew has also served as counsel to the United States Senate Judiciary Committee, where he worked on legislation concerning money laundering, forfeiture, and financial privacy, and assisted in the investigation of nominees to the Supreme Court and the lower federal courts.

  Before founding BHPK, Rick worked as a senior partner at a large Boston insurance defense firm. Prior to that, he worked as an assistant district attorney for the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office. As an assistant district attorney, Rick investigated and prosecuted major felonies, including homicides, rapes, armed robberies, and arson, and supervised a team of prosecutors. He began his legal career as Chief Law Clerk to the Massachusetts Superior Court Justices.

  Greg participates in the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office Pro Bono 209A Program, where he advocates on behalf of victims seeking restraining orders against alleged domestic abusers. Formerly, Greg served on the board of the Legal Advocacy Resource Center, a non-profit that provides legal assistance to low-income individuals. Prior to joining BHPK, Greg worked as an associate with a mid-sized litigation firm in Boston. During law school, he completed internships with the City of Boston Law Department and the United States Attorney's Office.

• Wrongful Termination
  Michael not only represents victims of harassment and discrimination in the LGBTQ+ community, he also advocates on behalf of other survivors of unlawful discrimination in the workplace and in public accommodation, delivering remarkable results. To date, Michael has successfully represented a number of victims of workplace and public accommodation discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and sexual assault/abuse, and has a wealth of experience handling cases on behalf of both employers and employees arising out of discrimination based on sex, gender, race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, and gender identity, in addition to hostile work environment and retaliation claims. Michael is also a highly knowledgeable wage and hour litigator, and handles complex employment litigation claims alleging wrongful termination, whistleblower, and breach of contract. Impressively, Michael has handled intricate litigation on behalf of, and against, major corporations and employers. He has filed and defended against class actions, and has negotiated settlements arising out of class action litigation on behalf of both his plaintiff and defense clients. In addition to his litigation skills, Michael acts as an investigator for employers into instances of alleged discrimination or harassment.

Over the course of her more than forty-year career, Naomi has worked with many school systems, including as labor relations counsel to school committees throughout New England, as well as the chief negotiator and labor relations counsel of a large state university system.
