- Estate PlanningA graduate of Boston Latin School, Boston College and Suffolk University Law School, Mr. Lynch has been admitted to practice before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and the United States District Court in Massachusetts. He has tried cases in all divisions of the trial court and has appeared and argued many times in the Appellate Courts of the Commonwealth. He served as an Assistant District Attorney in Boston, trying major felony matters and later as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the City of Boston, involved in real estate tax matters and litigation representing the Assessing Department and the Redevelopment Authority. He is a member of the Boston and Massachusetts Bar Associations and was the Faculty Chairman of the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc., where he authored various articles concerning real estate valuation and served as a frequent lecturer on real estate litigation matters. He is also a longtime member of the Institute of Property Taxation (IPT), a national organization of property tax executive and has lectured and presented at its annual seminars. He is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), Massachusetts. He serves on the Executive Committee and is a Vice-Chairman of the Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM), a business advocacy and public policy organization comprised of over 7,500 industrial and service companies and medical and educational institutions throughout Massachusetts. Mr. Lynch enjoys an A/V or pre-eminent professional rating from his peers, as listed in Martindale-Hubbell, a national legal reference service.
- Tax LawHis extensive experience with real estate law includes real estate tax litigation as well as related issues involving property classification, property tax exemption, payment in lieu of tax agreements, Chapter 121A Urban Redevelopment Agreements, various other tax incentive and finance agreements, portfolio and bulk sales valuation, as well as the standard appraisal valuation methods pertaining to commercial, industrial and multi-family residential properties. He also has experience with environmental impairment, land use, zoning and municipal law, and related litigation before administrative agencies, trial and appellate courts.
