Boonville High School, built in 1958, is a public school that offers a range of educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades nine through 12. The school has an enrollment of more than 800 students and a staff of over 50 teachers. The school features classrooms, band room, auditorium, kitchen, cafeteria, indoor swimming pool with spectator seating, locker and dressing rooms, faculty office space and gymnasium. It also has centers for technology education, agricultural science, greenhouse and art classrooms. Additionally, it offers a computer lab and provides Internet access in each classroom. The school has a football stadium, six-lane track, lighted tennis courts, baseball field, softball field and an indoor practice facility. Boonville High School is accredited by the North Central Accrediting Association and is a member of the Big Eight Athletic Conference.
