Franklin Elementary School offers educational and extracurricular programs to more than 400 students in grades three through five. Curriculum offered by the school includes English, math, science, social studies, foreign languages, art, music and physical education. The school s parent-teacher association organizes major fund-raising projects, and uses the profits to support various activities and purchases throughout the school year, including playground equipment, student programs and assemblies, classroom equipment and supplies, family fun nights, college scholarship awards, student yearbook, and Christmas sharing project. Boone Community School District offers a wide range of health services for all its students. It has a department of media and technology, which is responsible for the purchase and maintenance of all audiovisual equipment, computers, and network connectivity for all the schools in the district.
