the staff is friendly and helpful. I have been going to this office for many years and the doctor does not seem to acknowlege or remember me which I find odd. Seems like he'd fake it a little? Other than that, he seems to be knowlegable and expediant. The new guy that dresses in scrubs and greets you is odd, curious what scrubs have to do with eyes? Makes him look like a nurse/scrub tech wannabe, Odd quirks but I preferred the ease of getting in, when I get my prescription I can see, it's a means to an end.

I was surprised to see the negative reviews for this vision center. I have been going to this center for many years and have always had a wonderful experience. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the doctor is particularly knowledgeable and thorough. I would never go anywhere else.

I have never been so disappointed in service. I've visited several time and it seems that the employees are either incompetent or don't wish to work there. I went in for an adjustment and the lady who helped me was just terrible as I was taking her away from her conversation with a co worker. I left upset, then after an adjustment to my glasses, my lense broke. I went back in again and was treated exactly the same way. There is more to the story here, but to keep it short, pay the extra and go somewhere else. I went cheap and that is what I got. Including the glasses, they are below standards, hurt my face, and are not quality. You get what you pay for here. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM HERE AGAIN.
Making an appt. as a new optical patient using my Avesis insurance has been disappointing. The Walmart technician checked with Avesis and then called back to say the weekday optician would not accept Avesis, but the optician on Sunday would. I preferred not to do business on Sunday. The technician assured me if I did not come in, the approval by Avesis for my ID number would not be good for another appointment. I reluctantly made the Sunday appointment. Later, when I thought it through and realized I should not have been coerced in this way, I called to cancel the appt. Sunday morning. The phone rang and rang during several attempts, no answer, no voice mail, no response. If this is the service level at this store, it's better not to engage with the Vision Center at the Boise Walmart. I will deal with my Avesis insurance myself.
This was my first time coming to this vision center and the price to pay was ridiculous. I went in for an eye exam and asked if i would be able to get contact ( at the end of exam) and for asking that question they charged me $40 on top of the $10 co payment i had to pay, $50 for the optometrist to say i can get contacts.. I could have went somewhere else for a free eye exam and not get charged for asking a question. I asked them why i got charged the $40 and all they could say was, " he did the work." what kind of response is that? and i didn't even get contacts. I will never go here again. so if you go here, be aware of asking questions. you might get charged.
