Boise City Public Works Department provides a variety of services to the residents of Boise, Idaho through administrative, engineering, environmental, operations and government buildings division. Its administrative division provides accounting, records management and storage, and computer support and Web development to all of public works. The division also works with the Public Works Commission to establish sewer and trash rates. Its engineering division provides technical and ordinance information on flood plains, hillsides, subdivisions, street naming and irrigation. The department s environmental division offers educational, monitoring and support services in several areas, such as air and water quality, solid waste, ground water, environmental engineering and sampling and monitoring. The government buildings division maintains and operates the facilities at the city hall complex and other facilities, such as fire stations, the Senior Center, Boise Art Museum and library.
