I was once employed with Asiago's and may I state honestly and truthfully at how dedicated the owner is in providing quality fine dining in the city of trees. The chefs are always influenced to make new creations that could be printed on the menu. The kitchen is always unbelievably clean and maintained. And with the amount of garbage the servers have to take from such horrible customers on a daily basis, they stay respectful and friendly no matter what. So, to make a better review than the one posted on here before. If you want pre-made/processed/frozen food, go to Olive Garden or Johnny Carino's. But if you want actually freshly made dishes, pasta thats made daily in the kitchen, with a romantic ambiance, and respectful well knowledge staff. A place full of history and fond memories that has served the Boise community for years. Then please give Asiago's a chance! And please, call ahead for reservations and PLEASE tip your servers!!!

They are in the midst of an expansion and it appears to have affected the food.

We've frequented Asiago's Downtown for several years now and it has been a favorite "nice" restaurant. So, we were surprised on the last visit when both our steaks were lukewarm and arrived on cold plates. We sent them back to be reheated but it's just not the same with steak. The menu description of the steak was far more interesting than what we were served - so we were quite disappointed - enough so to mention it to the server. Asiago's been expanding so perhaps they are a bit sidetracked. We're crossing our fingers for the next visit to see if things have been ironed out. The service was as usual very good - no fault there. Wonderful wine and beer list. Loved the new interior design.
