Schulman Associates Institutional Review Board is an independent agency that has more than 20 years of experience in reviewing research protocols and consent forms to evaluate a study s compliance with federal regulations and ethical guidelines. The board s primary function is promoting clinical research by protecting the rights and welfare of clinical research subjects. As an independent review board, SAIRB is not part of an institution, such as an academic medical center or research hospital. Working with a network of regional consultants, the board provides its services to a variety of national multisite studies. The board meets twice weekly in Cincinnati.
