I found the services to be nominal but the bill to be inflated; Destiny Hospice is clearly "for profit". They billed insurance significantly higher rate than agreement I signed when I hired this company. Billed insurance company $186.00 per day, everyday, whether anyone showed up or not. Actual work involved several brief Chaplain visits, and a visiting nurse that visited on average about 20 to 40 minutes (sometimes) twice a week (patient lives in his own home, not in Hospice facility). Too high for services actually provided in this particular case. My opinion is that while service was nominally adequate, bill was outrageous; exuberantly and questionably high.
