Dr. Zain Rizvi completed an intensive podiatric medicine and surgery residency at the Catholic Health System in Buffalo, NY with additional credentialing in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. He served as the chief resident of the program in his final year. During his training, Dr. Rizvi developed excellent surgical skills working under podiatric and orthopedic surgeons while also becoming proficient in wound care, hospital in-patient and clinical out-patient care. Dr. Rizvi was born and raised in Bloomingdale, IL where he graduated from Lake Park High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Purdue University in 2010 and obtained his doctorate degree at Rosalind Franklin University in 2015. Dr. Rizvi has attended many conferences and health screenings and has participated in original research. He has been a member of multiple professional associations throughout his training including the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Rizvi has training in all aspects of foot and ankle medicine and surgery, and has particular interest in foot and ankle sports injuries, fractures, and flatfoot reconstructions. Despite his thorough surgical training, he knows that often providing the best treatment possible involves avoiding surgery. Dr Rizvi and his wife Meher are excited to start their lives in Bloomington along with their newborn son. In his free time he likes all types of sports, mostly basketball and football. He is a big Chicago sports fan and is excited to be back in Illinois.
