OSF PromptCare clinics are walk-in clinics designed to efficiently treat sudden minor illnesses and injuries for people of all ages. Upon arriving at OSF PromptCare, we ask that you check in with our front desk staff. You will be asked to submit some basic information and present your insurance card and picture I.D. We will begin to compile your chart with the information you provided. While we do this, please feel free to have a seat in our waiting room where you will soon be called upon for triage. During triage, our staff will record your vital signs, medical history, and any medications you are currently using in order to better prepare the physician for his or her time with you. Once we have assessed your needs, we will escort you to an exam room where you will meet with the doctor. Each OSF PromptCare clinic is staffed with at least one provider, nurse, medical assistant, and front desk receptionist in order to best serve you. We also provide on-site radiology services for your convenience. For your employee’s convenience, initial work-related injury care and substance testing can also be provided at any OSF PromptCare location on a walk-in basis. Follow-up management of work-related injuries will then be conducted at OSF Occupational Health under the supervision of a Board Certified Occupational Medicine Physician. Our clinics are not designed to provide care for life-threatening illnesses, injuries, or ongoing medical conditions. OSF PromptCare should also not be used as a substitute for your primary care physician. Always call 911 in case of an emergency.
