Service was great, don't get me wrong. I love Dr. Backus, but I have to give his office two stars. They were very busy, and upon walking in I just sat down and waited till things calmed down for them. They then called me back. I asked the lady how she was doing, and then proceeded to explain that I had VSP insurance and that I didn't want anything done that wasn't covered, just like always. I had a great time, it was quick, and easy with nice staff. A few weeks later I got a bill in the mail from my insurance company asking for $39 for some procedure done here. I called and they refused to admit that they made a mistake. They said they needed a form signed to NOT do a test that costs money, and they didn't have that on file. I never was offered such a form to sign! So, now there is no proof I had asked for everything to be covered by VSP and they charged me anyways. Good place, just deceiving! I suggest them, but be careful!

I was a patient of Dr Hal Adelman for years and after his passing away I continued with Dr Backus. He is a very good doctor. Very caring and easy to talk to. I highly recommend him to others. After my cataract surgery I haven't seen him, but intent to go back to him when I need to.
