This was my first time using Berkley Auto & I had a great experience. They insisted on giving me a ride home, my car came back perfectly repaired & cleaned inside/out. The staff was professional & friendly. I hope I never need body work again but if I do, this is absolutely where I would go! A++++

it took them more than a month to repair my car.. and then charge me cash for the deductible, they didn't even do a good job at all.. will not recommend to anybody!

I have been to ton's of body shops before and this one blows any of them out of the water. I understand that things come up in a repair (due to me being a contractor) but was always kept posted on what was happening. The staff is super pleasant and the work is even better. I got my 2010 BMW M5 back looking better then when I bought it. They cleaned the interior and detailed the outside as promise (had a coupon). Lets not forget they dropped me off at work where I had my second car waiting and picked me up from the same place (about 22 miles from their shop. Thank you Joe the manager for all your professional help and Joe Jr. for running an honest business. And I quote "The proof is in the pudding". Good work takes time. And I will never take my car else where. Once again Thank you!!!!

Tried to charge me $50 for an estimate after I was originally told it would be free. Then the obscenities start rolling out...These guys are thugs and bullies...stay far away!!!

I still haven't gotten my car and it's been over 4 weeks!. I just got off the phone with somebody over there who told me it "may" be ready by the end of this week. Last week, they also told me end of the week. Ridiculously slow!

Can't say what their work quality is yet because they still have my car. They are very pleasant and deal directly with insurance companies which was great and the reason why I have given them 2 stars, however, they take a ridiculous amount of time to fix a car, they never follow up when they constantly tell you they will, they gave me an estimate of 2 Wks to have my car back but took 4-5 Wks just to order unexpected parts as they say, they explained they're only waiting for one part that is shipped across the country & then the following wk they tell me they're waiting for something else. They've had my vehicle for over 6 wks now & they never once picked up the phone to give me progress as promised. I have called at least once a wk on my own & some Wks I don't bother to call to save my frustration. Last I heard was over a wk and half ago when they said it would only take about 2 more days to finish welding & 1 day to paint! Tired of excuses and patiently waiting. At this point the car better be beyond expectations or my follow up review will be on every rating site available for this business. Note to them: please give realistic time frames & follow up if you promised to follow up for better customer service.

3.5/5 stars Pros: - works directly with most insurance companies - friendly staff - honest work estimates including job details, time, cost - seems interested in quality work (did a great job with exception below)- willing to negotiate price Cons: - poor about giving regular updates on progress as promised - when picking up my vehicle: - there was grease spots that they left on the exterior (they cleaned them as I pointed them out) - while repairing my rear bumper they scuffed the paint above the rear driver side wheel well at the seam where the rear bumper and side panel meet. There's clear coat on top of it so it would be a big job to fix so they offered me some money or a discount next time if I decided not to force them to fix it. - Although they say they accept credit cards, their machine has been broken for about a month and they are taking cash only. They had one worker drive with me to direct me to the nearest ATM for my bank which wasn't in the best neighborhood.

What more could you want! Great service, great work, great guys! Highly recommend!!

Amazing service, highest quality work and the most professional shop I ever dealt with. First they fixed my car after an accident, then they mentioned they do mechanical work as well, so they changed my oil for me ($10 cheaper than I was paying) and even detailed my car (for free)! Then I bring my other car in for a problem, they fix that the same day at less than half the price of the dealer who told me it would take a week and they warranty it for a year (dealer offered no warranty!)...not too many people can do that! Basically, they provide great service, have great staff (see Joe Jr., the owner, he looks young but knows his stuff and is always willing to help you out), plus for a body shop, the office is CLEAN. I highly recommend Berkeley Auto. They got me as a customer for life!
