11/11/12

5.0

I visited this museum/library on 11/10/12. It was well worth the stop. The presentation given was very informative and professional. It has several war era's represented, while staying true to the military newspaper's history. This is a must see if you are in the area. It is located at the entrance of The Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo. (Just take a right and follow the road past the large old barn with The Stars and Stripes written on it). There is no entrance fee but donatations are welcomed to help keep the museum open. You will see many uniforms from each branch of service represented along with everyday items, and things used in combat. There are newspaper articles explaining what was happening then. Allow two hours to see everything. Be sure to watch the short video before your departure. Also, try to see the memorial wall to the north of bldg. This is not your dusty old history museum...it is a very well presented work of art portraying our heritage. May God Bless America!
