Based in Aspen, Colo., Clark's Markets is a chain of grocery stores covering Aspen, Basalt, Battlement Mesa, Blanding, Canyon County Chevon, Crested Butte and Norwood. It is in business for 30 years and is a conventional grocery store that emphasizes natural, organic and gourmet products. It has county stores where the customers benefit from numerous weekly specials, as well as aisles of bulk items. The resort stores stocks organic and conventional products, serving construction workers, on-tour families, private chefs and restaurants. It is a member of Associated Food Stores, an organization of 600 independently-owned grocery stores in eight western states.
