Pierce County High School is a learning center that provides academic instructions to students in grades 9 through 12. It supports activities, such as band, drama, literary and art. The school conducts classes in forestry and natural resources, small business development, construction, transportation, early childhood education and engineering. It organizes volleyball, football, baseball, basketball, soccer, golf, softball and wrestling activities. Pierce County High School has a media center that stocks books and periodicals and provides Internet access. It administers the Advanced Placement program, which allows high school students to study college-level subjects. The school also organizes field trips and conducts career fairs. It offers various scholarships opportunities. Pierce County High School additionally offers opportunities to participate in various student organizations, including the Technology Student Association, Future Business Leaders of America, Future Educators of America, and Georgia Career Student Association. It is governed by Pierce County Schools, which operates through curriculum, finance, human resources, maintenance and nutrition departments.
