  We handle claims which trigger fidelity bond coverage, Usually in one of two ways. First, we defend claims arising out of an employee’s embezzlement, theft, or other act of fraud. Second, we defend claims against ERISA fiduciaries for fraud, theft or other deliberate misconduct that results in financial losses to an employee benefit plan.

  Jonathan is a partner at Saretsky Hart Michaels + Gould PC. Jonathan is a Southern California native and dedicated UCLA Bruin at heart. After losing a coin toss to the beautiful Michigan native who would later become his wife and mother of his two strikingly handsome sons, Jonathan traded the sunny skies of Los Angeles for the beautiful seasons of the Midwest, graduating from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. While in law school, Jonathan interned for the Honorable Bernard Friedman, Chief Judge for the Eastern District of Michigan and the Honorable Steven Rhodes, Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of Michigan and the presiding Judge for the City of Detroit’s historic bankruptcy. Notably, Jonathan is likely the only attorney in America to have let a Federal Court Judge’s dog run into a crowded courtroom and yelp like bloody murder who lives to tell about it.

  Sam is a partner at Saretsky Hart Michaels + Gould PC. His financial services practice includes representing securities broker-dealers, registered representatives and registered investment advisers in connection with all aspects of their business. Sam routinely defends claims brought against clients alleging sales practice violations, including claims of negligence, fraud, misrepresentation, failure to supervise and violations of federal and state securities laws. Further, Sam represents both firms and individuals in employment cases. His experience is vast and ranges from defense of wrongful termination and Form U5 defamation claims to pursing collection of promissory note debt. Sam also regularly handles employment disputes involving enforcement of employment agreements containing restrictive covenants and, in that context, often appears before courts and arbitration panels in connection with efforts to obtain injunctive relief. Additionally, Sam represents clients in compliance and regulatory-related matters before various governmental entities and self-regulatory organizations.

  Brian is a partner at Saretsky Hart Michael + Gould PC. Over the past 25 years, Brian has developed broad expertise litigating complex business disputes, including contract, restrictive covenant, trade secret, tortious interference, fraud and other commercial matters. Many of these cases have involved litigation issues pertaining to errors and omissions policies and fidelity bonds. In addition to handling numerous securities arbitrations, regulatory investigations and enforcement actions, Brian has conducted multiple civil and criminal jury trials, including serving as lead trial counsel in “save-the-company” litigation. Brian has also handled numerous personal injury, premises liability, and automobile negligence cases throughout his legal career. Brian has also briefed and argued cases before the Michigan Supreme Court and the Michigan Court of Appeals, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Brian is a seasoned courtroom attorney and counselor.
