I was not planning on writing a review, I usually dont but I cant stop thinking that I need to. I purchased a Mani/Pedi Groupon to this ORGANIC salon, although the woman booking my appt. was super nice she had a hard time getting me in because they were booked solid. When I arrived on Friday at 4pm, there was not a single client, nor a single stylist working..on a Friday evening!?!? My appt. lasted an hour and I remained the only patron with my Manicurist and the Receptionist. Amira was very very nice, and I cant stress how much I enjoyed our conversation but 2 things struck me as I was hoping to enjoy my ORGANIC pampering...she wore gloves when she applied the moisturizer to my legs, and when I peered over at the polish bottle FORMALDEHYDE was the first listed ingredient ...needless to say I has happy that I had opted not to have my fingernails painted. Its a very cute place, and the two ladies there were respectful and polite but sadly I wont be returning...the latex glove is a killer for me and the fact that the tips of my toes were filed so much that it hurt when I first got out of bed and stood on my feet the next morning...it felt as if I had skinned them on the sidewalk....I get a pedicure maybe 3 times a year so when i do, it needs to really "knock my socks off"!

Wonderful color and cut! The owner, Dervisa couldn't be nicer and she's very knowledgeable on hair color. I was searching for a salon that used organic color and finally found Hazel Street. it was so nice to not have my eyes water or scalp burn while getting color. Organic is the way to go. A week later, my hair feels and looks fantastic. The compliments keep on coming.
