Located in Birmingham, Ala., Travelers Aid International is a social service organization. The center provides casework services to 200,000 persons and families. It offers services, such as encouraging corporate support for local program needs, monitoring legislation, providing educational opportunities for program staff and enhancing information exchange through newsletters and the web site. Travelers Aid serves more than forty-eight communities and thirty-six transportation centers, including airports, bus and train stations. The association offers agencies and programs in the United States, Canada and Australia.
