- Minimally Invasive Surgery
- HysterectomyLaparoscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy (LSH) and Laparoscopic Total Hysterectomy (LTH) are minimally invasive techniques to remove the uterus. The Laparoscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy is a hysterectomy performed through the laparoscope in which the cervix is left in place, and the Laparoscopic Total Hysterectomy removes the cervix.
- Endometrial AblationAs with the laparoscopic hysterectomy, recent advances in technology have greatly increased the options available to you for the treatment of a variety of gynecologic conditions. Endometrial ablation is one such example. This minimally invasive outpatient technique destroys the lining of the uterus. This procedure is used to treat heavy menstrual periods. After this procedure 60% of women no longer have a menstrual period and at least 90% of women are very happy with the significant reduction in flow. This procedure helps many women avoid a hysterectomy.
