- Intellectual PropertyIn our home state of Alabama, we have been involved in virtually every high-profile, complex litigation matter in the past twenty years. We made the first allegations of corruption related to electronic bingo, represented a significant creditor in Jefferson County’s historic Chapter 9 bankruptcy filing and related litigation, filed the first insurance rescission case in the HealthSouth fraud, represented clients in litigation related to the troubled Prepaid Affordable College Tuition (PACT) program, and made the state-court Enron litigation part of the federal multi-district litigation. Currently, we represent clients in litigation related to the takeover of Colonial Bank by the FDIC and the Blue Cross/Blue Shield antitrust litigation. We have represented defendants in two of Alabama’s highest-stakes intellectual-property disputes in recent years, one in state court and one in federal court.
