Biloxi Fire Department was founded in 1904, and offers various safety and rescue services to the residents of state. The fire department has more than 100 firefighters and staff members. It operates more than nine firehouses, and has engine companies, ladder companies, tankers, command vehicles, a heavy rescue vehicle, a fire boat, light vehicle, support service vehicle, two reserve engines, fire investigations unit and staff vehicles. The department protects more than 50,000 citizens living in an area of more than 60-square- miles.Biloxi Fire Department serves a diverse community consisting of a large area of residential multiunit dwellings with a significant tourist industry that includes nine casino resorts. In addition, it also performs medical and high angle rescue operations, as well as other specialized services. All Biloxi firefighters receive medical training and, are First Responder certified. The department is located in Biloxi, Mass.
