This is such a wonderful shop. They have great gear, and the service you receive here is absolutely wonderful. They have very knowledgeable people working every department. At times they can be a little more pricey compared to other stores, but the service you receive is out this world and worth spending a little extra (in my opinion). They truly are my go to shop for all things outdoors. I have learned spending my money elsewhere has just been a mistake and a waste of my time.

This is a gorgeous shop with all the products an outdoor gal like me could dream of, and more! The staff is always friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. I usually go in to find something in particular, and walk out with a few extras and a big smile. It also feels better to me to support the local small businesses, especially those who really do care about the customers.
Great store. You can get your gear on-line, but you would be missing the "service factor." At this store, the "service factor" and personal experience was huge. Two employees that helped me on separate visits knew the gear inside and out. Both did a stint at NOLS, and one has visited every major mountain range in the world. I got great advice on water filters, sleeping bags, hiking boots, packs and clothing. I tried to play dumb to see how good their advice would be, and it jived with everything that I knew and with the on-line reviews I had read. In the end, I spent a little more by buying locally at this store, but not much more than the shipping would have cost and I knew exactly what I had in my hands as I was leaving. I also have this great feeling that if something they sold be gives me a problem, they'll be there to help solve it. Check out this store if you can. Dan M. p.s. -- they were very generous with their local knowledge of the Beartooth Wilderness trails ; )
