Big Sandy Medical Center, located in Big Sandy, Mont., is a nursing home providing health care services. The services offered by the center include emergency care, acute care hospitalization, laboratory testing, radiology and physical therapy. It also offers skilled nursing care, long-term care and a rural health clinic staffed by a physician and a family nurse practitioner. The BSMC laboratory, staffed by licensed medical technologists 24-hours a day, seven-days a week, provides services in hematology, serology, microbiology, clinical chemistries, coagulation and blood gas analysis. It is accredited by the state of Montana and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act. The center also offers home health care services to Medicare qualified homebound patients.
