Family-run; personal attention with more than adequate time, space to test drive (with accompanyment if requested!); great listening skills which translate to customized service; extremely impressive turnaround time for repairs (on the spot for minor repairs vs wait few days as I've experienced in past.). AND, huge plus, no pressure to make sale. They respect you at your own level of biking needs.

Beverly Cycles is more than a bike shop, it's potentially a community hub--mainly because of its wonderfully eccentric owner, Bill Kerr, a karate expert with a soft heart. From the first time you see him standing barefoot behind the counter, you realize he's no ordinary guy and this is no ordinary store. Bill's biggest problem is that what he really wants to do is not SELL you a bike, but GIVE you one. The net result is that you want to give him your business, and to keep coming back for more glimpses into his character. The shop--and Bill--are definitely worth the drive. Bill is having the time of his life, and he wants to share it with you.
