- Dental ExaminationChildren should first be seen when they get their first tooth. This is a great opportunity to get the child comfortable with a dental exam, as well as to review eating habits and cleaning instructions. Tooth decay is preventable. Together, we can help your child have a healthy mouth!
- Oral Cancer ScreeningDuring a routine teeth cleaning, we’ll remove plaque and tartar buildup, check for cavities, perform an oral cancer screening, and help you develop better oral hygiene habits at home for better, longer-lasting results.
- Teeth CleaningIt is suggested that patients be seen for a dental cleaning and routine exam every six months or as recommended by their dentist. During the cleaning, plaque and calculus will be removed from your teeth, leaving behind a bright and polished smile. Images may need to be taken to help detect possible cavities in between teeth that cannot be seen by the naked eye.
- Fluoride TreatmentFluoride prevents decay in children and adults. It is especially important for children 6 months to 16 years old to get enough fluoride to protect their teeth. However, adults may need to add fluoride to their preventative appointments or their daily routine depending on their oral health requirements.
- Dental SealantsSealants are a very efficient and successful method for preventing decay on the biting surfaces of teeth. Sealants are primarily placed on permanent molars as they erupt in a child’s mouth. They are maintained throughout childhood and can last into adulthood. Sealants are a flowable resin that is applied to the deep pits and fissures of teeth, protecting the teeth from the harmful acids and plaque buildup commonly found in the mouth. The application of sealants is a simple procedure requiring only a short visit with our office.
- Fillings
- VeneersWhen applied to the tooth, a veneer is virtually undetectable. Due to its thin nature, the veneer will take on the natural coloration of your teeth and allows us to be quite conservative in removing tooth structure.
- CrownsCrowns are necessary when a tooth is severely damaged or has suffered from advanced decay and cannot be fixed with a bonded filling material. Crowns cover the remaining tooth and restore its function, strength, and esthetics. Several crown material options are available, and our doctors will discuss these on an individual basis depending on the area of the mouth that needs to be restored.
