Express Tanning; a division of California Tanning which first opened its doors in 1989 in a small seven bed salon building in Carteret, NJ. A 30 minute 24 Lampe Wolff tanning bed was cutting edge technology for its time. Since then, we have continually upgraded our store design and equipment which provides you, the customer, with the most technologically advanced product on the market. At any time 80% of all the tanning beds in our chain are less than three years old and all tanning bulbs are changed by 75% of their projected life. We have also listened to your needs. We provide you with the newest equipment and the freshest bulbs. All stores are open seven days a week. Most of our stores have over 18 beds to provide you with the convenience of never needing an appointment. We now offer 2 stores throughout Pennsylvannia & 3 stores throughout NJ with more to come! I am not sure what these other reviewers are talking about. My first time I walked into the salon I was greeted by wonderful smiles and helpful knowledge. I was unsure of what bed to try and what lotion to use and the girls were very helpful. In the end I walked away with a package in their level 5 bed, which is amazing, and a bottle of lotion. 3 tans later and I must say I look fabulous, feel wonderful, and receive many compliments. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who wants a true tanning experience

I went to this "primer tanning salon" or so that's what they call themselves last week and was very dissapointed. I walked in and was immediately bombarded by one of their employees asking what bed I wanted to tan in and what lotion I wanted to buy, I was caught off guard all I wanted to go in and ask a few questions about this new establishment. I asked for a tour of the salon and the employee giving me the tour seemed clueless about their beds and how powerful they were! Once I finished the tour I was not impressed at all I decided not to join and when I thank the employee for her time she turned extremely rude and stopped talking to me. Don't waste your time here!!!!!
