Dr. Okoli graduated from University of Nigeria College of Medicine in 1984 and later began rotations and internship in medicine, pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology and completed in 1985. He did his National service with Nigeria Air Force Hospital and the Benin City Medical Sports Complex in 1986. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at North General Hospital affiliated with the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and the City University of New York in 1995. He served as the Chief Medical Resident of the Department of Internal Medicine in the same hospital from 1995-1996. Before coming to the United States, he was a lecturer in the Anatomy Department of Anambra State University College of Medicine and a medical officer in the same University before coming to the United States. He owned and operated a successful Internal Medicine practice in North Carolina for over 14 years and later, he served as a Physician Group Leader at Carolina Specialty Hospital, where he managed highly complex medical patients while supervising in house physicians. He attended the IPC-University of California San Francisco Fellowship Program for Hospitalist Leaders before coming to Maryland. Motto: We Treat, God Heals.
