The owner, Keith, was born and raised here in Berryville before setting off traveling the world in the Service, and as an international contractor afterwards. I just phoned this place and told the man who answered that I was interested in making reservations, but first wanted to know how old the matresses were, since we have stayed in a couple of places lately that had old lumpy bumpy uncomfortable matresses. Shew! Wrong question! The man was offended and let me have it. He told me that the "condition of my matresses, the way things look around here, the condition of the rooms is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS." He told me that I was not welcome to stay there, and that I needed to find somewhere else to stay. At the end of his reprimand of me he hung up on me. All I did, was ask about the matresses. Is that not a fair question if I am going to pay someone money for a room? His answer told me all the information I needed. I hit a nerve with him. He must have recieved complaints, and he was clearly not proud of his establishment. I took it, by his use of the words "I" and "my", that he was the owner.
